Nothing leaves
your PC.
Everything runs on your PC.
Your screenshot is never sent to a server. Reading and replacing happen on your computer.
No account. No tracking.
You don’t sign up, and nothing about what you do is reported anywhere.
The key stays with you.
Which stand-in matches which real value is stored encrypted on your PC. No one else can open it.
Why stand-ins
Blur stops the leak.
It also stops the answer.
Other tools black out values or swap them for tags. The AI has nothing left to compare. Stand-ins keep every relationship intact.
Original
RiskReal revenue leaves the company the moment you paste.

The AI says“North leads with about a third of revenue, ahead of South.”
Safe and usefulFauxit swaps every value it can read. If one spot can’t be read with confidence, only that spot is blacked out, so nothing slips through.
How it works
Three keys.
A few seconds.
It works like the screenshot tool you already use. The difference is what lands on your clipboard.
Press PrtSc.
Your screen freezes behind a soft white veil. Nothing is copied yet.
Drag over what you need.
The area you pick stays in color. Press Enter and carry on working while it’s processed in the corner.
Paste into your AI.
A clean copy is on your clipboard, ready for any chat window.
Under the hood. On-device OCR reads the area. Each value is sorted by its format, replaced, and redrawn in the original font, size and color. The result is read again, and anything missed is fixed in a second pass. Copied text works the same way with CtrlShiftC.
What changes
Values change.
Meaning stays.
It recognises values by their format, so it works on dashboards, spreadsheets, SQL results and email threads alike.
Rules
Make it
your own.
Hide, block or keep specific words, columns and domains.
A phrase changes everywhere it appears. Leave the right side empty for an automatic stand-in.
Codes and labels that don’t need hiding stay exactly as they are.
Choose what happens to the values under a header, or next to a label like “Total sales:”.
If this word is on screen, nothing gets copied at all.
Read the answer in real numbers.
Copy the AI’s reply and press a shortcut. Every stand-in in the reply turns back into your real value.

Questions.
Which AI tools does it work with?
All of them. It doesn’t connect to any AI. It puts a clean image or text on your clipboard, and you paste it wherever you like.
Will the AI’s answer use the stand-in numbers?
Yes. Trends, rankings, ratios and shares stay true, so the analysis is still right. Absolute figures in the answer are stand-ins until reverse translation ships.
Does it work on a Mac?
Not yet. Windows 10 and 11 come first.
Does this replace my company’s AI policy?
No. It helps you follow it. Check with your IT team before installing software on a work computer.
What if it misreads something?
Every image is read again after the values are replaced, and anything missed is fixed in a second pass. A label it can’t read reliably is erased instead of being left in place.
